Thirty patients with burn infection (2-4 weeks old) wereselected for this study. The collected blood specimens from the burn woundswere cultured on different media such as CLED, Blood, SS and MacConkey agar andNutrient agar. Four major bacterial strains including E-coli, Klebsiella spp.Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated and Antibioticsensitivity pattern was measured against these microorganisms by usingfollowing 3 antibiotics i.e, Amikacin (AK), Zinacef (CXM), Linozolid (LZD). The results show that honey has a significant effect on thegrowth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (61%) followed by E.coli (55%), Staphylococcusaureus (56%), and Klebsiella spp (25%) as compared to the antibiotics alone.** corresponding author: Dr Samina Qamere-mail: saminabee@yahoo.com
